Brandi + Stuart | Pocomoke, MD Wedding

I remember Brandi when she was maybe 9 or 10 years old. She would come into the restaurant in town that I waited tables at and she was so sweet then, and she hasn’t changed one bit. Stuart I have also known for some time growing up and I always thought so much of him and his family. In the beginning of their relationship, when I caught word that they were dating each other.. I remember making the assumption to myself that this was a forever thing. I am not sure why. But then when I met them for their engagement photos I understood.

I have never seen Stuart be so gentle and kind with anyone. He is so kind, don’t get me wrong. But when he is with Brandi, there is a softness there that I don’t think I have ever witnessed with him, or anyone for that matter. Its like she broke down all of his walls- I felt really lucky to witness something so special.

When I arrived to shoot their wedding day, Brandi’s mom showed me her living room, and almost immediately showed me the rocking chair that you see below in the photos where Brandi sat to put her jewelry and shoes on. Miss Dana tearfully explained in the same moment that this chair is where she rocked her daughter when she was born, her daughter that on this day was now a bride. I being a mom myself now felt like a little shock when through my heart. Our babies grow so so fast and I’m sure it felt like she and Brandi’s dad had blinked and here they were, with their daughter on her wedding day. Shew.

Stuart + his bride vowed hand-written promises to each other on the water in the backyard of their home that was also Brandi’s childhood home. Everyone they loved was present, whether that was physically or spiritually. It was such a perfect day, no other word to describe it. They rode off together to their reception in Brandi’s dad’s car that holds so many special memories. During the special dances, Stuart’s mom handed him off to Brandi to finish the song. Metaphorically letting her first baby go, but happily. Altogether such an incredible day and night.

Thank you both for choosing me, I am forever grateful!

Congrats Mr. + Mrs. Howser. <3
